Storage for small make-up collections

Hi all,
Not everyone has a large make-up collection. You may be just starting out or have a small collection that you use all the time. I have a post for you guys today which gives you a great suggestion on how to store your make-up.
My sister has a small collection. She was going through her jewellery when I came up with the idea to use the jewellery box as make-up storage.

Before!

  Take a look!

First compartment

Second and third drawers

After!

The whole thing!

First compartment - Brushes and face products

Second drawer - Eye products

Third drawer - Lip products
This is super easy to do and looks great at the end!

Rushed Mornings? Beauty Shortcuts

Hi beauties,Don't you hate those days when you wake up late and rush through your beauty routine, missing out on steps, but still turning up late to your destination? Me too! Well, here are some beauty products that make it (nearly) impossible to run late.

1. Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser
The first skincare shortcut is a cleanser. I like this cleanser because it is gentle, suitable for all skin type and even removes light make-up. The time saving quality of this product is that you can use it without water. How handy?!

2. Trilogy Vital Moisturising Cream SPF15
This product is of high quality and doubles up as a moisturiser and sunscreen. It cuts down time and you don't have to be putting on two layers of creams.

3. Batiste Dry Shampoo
This product can be your lifesaver. Normally, if your hair is really greasy or dirty, you would take a shower, which takes up time. With this product, you can just spray all over and it refreshes your hair. It makes you feel confident and you can just have the shower when you get home!

4. Maybelline Fit Me! Powder
The first make-up short cut is a powder/foundation. This powder is really good and has a nice consistency. It takes more time to use a liquid or cream foundation than a powder foundation. So it doubles up to give you a matte finish and good coverage.

5. Hard Candy Fox in a Box
This product is so good for a short cut. The powder has four shades so you can use it as a blush, bronzer, highlighter or just for some colour. All you need is this compact box for a nice, glowing face.
6. Australis Lip Butter
The last shortcut is a lip butter. Australis had created a really nice lip butter that is so moisturising and has cute packaging. The shades give a subtle but nice colour to your lips. You are moisturising your lips and giving them a bit of a tint at the same time.

Lush Christmas Series: Storage

Take a look at how I store my Lush Christmas products!

Hey girls,
So I decided to store my Christmas Lush products not with my normal Lush products. If you read my Lush Storage post as part of the Organisation Series, you would have saw my clear vase where I store my regular Lush stash. My mum actually got me a Santa jar!

It was perfect to store my Lush in. I have three products so far and they all fit in that jar. Since, I am buying another five products soon, I need to get another one. I leave my products wrapped or in their yellow bags!

Organisation Series: Packing Toiletries for Travel

Organisation tips for packing toiletries when about to travel. It makes packing a lot easier! Trust me!

Don't you hate it when your toiletry bag is stuffed with twenty products and one leaks or you can't close the bag? Me too. I have quite a few tips to avoid this.
Tip 1: Stay on task
When you get distracted you lose track and end up taking two large hand creams instead one travel size. If you stay on topic, you will have a clear understanding of what you have packed.

Tip 2: Pack the necessary
Pack what you need. Prior to packing you can make a list. For examples, three lip glosses etc. Take the minimum and only take one of each thing as much as possible. So take one moisturiser instead of two. If you know you are going to be buying some products there, pack less.

Tip 3: Use Zip Lock bags
To avoid spillage, use zip lock bags. You can just buy them, from the supermarket and pack about two to four similar products in each bag.

Tip 4: Review what you have packed
After packing take a look at what you have and if it fits well, is it not too heavy and try to cut it down further. If you get distracted when you check your products again you can fix any mistakes that have occurred such as packing five lip glosses instead of three.

Tip 5: Use Travel Sized Products
This is vital. If you substitute products for travel sized versions, you will save heaps of space. The  best thing about them is that they are really affordable and cheap. I got most of my travel items from Priceline. They are great!

So they are my tips. I hope you enjoyed!

Organisation Series: Storing Lush Products

I love Lush a lot and had some trouble storing them. I used to keep them in a Lush bag beside my table but I found a way to store them.
Most of my products are soaps, body butters or massage bars etc. So I cut all of these up into three or four pieces. I bought a jar from Ikea and used glad wrap to cover the pieces. Then I placed all the pieces randomly and put the jar on my table. I cover the products with glad wrap because I don't want the scents to mix together and the Sandstone Soap will start smelling like Up You Gets Emotibomb.

If you have bath melts or bath bombs, just wrap them in Glad Wrap and place them in; you don't need to cut them!

With my shower gels, shower jelly and lip scrub I have a white container which I put them in.
So that is how I store my Lush. Comment below and tell us how you store your Lush!

Organisation Series: Packing Brushes

Ok, welcome to the new series about organising beauty products etc. So I went to my friend's house yesterday and took some make up with including brushes. I put brushes in a separate case and wanted to show you guys because I found it really cute!
I have this beauty case I got as a present and I really love it to pack my brushes in when I am on - the - go. I like how you can see what is in it without being too plain. The size is also great.
So this was a short introductory post but stay tuned for more to come!

Get Sorted!

Too tired in the morning? Running late? The way I stay on time and looking refreshed is making a beautine. Beautine means a beauty routine. What you do is you write out a list of what you have to do every morning. I do this by writing all the products I use because the method to use the products are pretty self explanatory.
The effect of a beautine is this:

A beautine allows you to be organised while getting time to refresh you skin, do your make up or straighten your hair. You go from tired and stressed to happy and on time when you use a beautine.

Comment on this post or tweet to @beautyfix000 on Twitter to tell us if you found this helpful or what other useful tips get you sorted in the morning xx
