ILoveThisBox.com.au January Opening (Review of Box)

OMG, I got my January ILoveThisBox.com.au. How exciting?! Unfortunately, I wasn't there when the post man arrived, so I had to collect from the Post Office. I could see it sitting there! It didn''t camouflage at all next to all the boring brown boxes. My parcel was the most interesting by far!!! Anyway the outer box is no surprise. As always, it is strong and protective but so cute!

As you know, when you lift up the flap of the box, there is another, more sturdy, more attractive box! This is when I get more excited!

Once I took off the lid, there was the card and pretty tissue paper. I thought this box was going to be a regular box but instead it was Australia Day themed! YAY!

I loved the Australian detail to the card. The card was very welcoming and mentioned how all the products in the January box are FULL SIZE. OMG! The ILoveThisBox team also reminded the customers about earning LovePoints.

As usual the back of the card was very informative. I love the images and extra details featured!

I also like how they inform you of the prices and the names of the products.

Below the card, is this tissue paper with a sticker. I really love the sticker and the tissue paper as it is so cute. Now this is the part where I get even more excited!!!

And this is what this month's ILoveThisBox looks like!

The first thing I saw is new to the box. This is a little card.

On the back of the card, is a Tip of the Month. How cute and cool is that?! This tip of the month is about cleaning your brushes!

The first product is an ILoveThisBox Angular Eye Shadow Brush. First thoughts...the brush is so soft and I am think I am going to find this very very useful. It is made from quality natural hair.

I received the Linden Leaves Herbalist Rosemary and Cypress Shampoo for the Assorted Body & Bath products. I like the herbal scent to it and I really look forward to trying out this product for my hair.

The next full size product I received was the Olive by Langlois Flavoured Lip Balm in Strawberry. This is the lip balm that was mentioned on the card in the last box but we got a different lip balm instead. I am really happy they included this because the product sounded really good from the description. So far, the strawberry lip balm smells delicious.

I got the Revlon Nail Polish in Emerald City. I love nail polishes and this is a great shade for Aussie Day. I love how glittery it is!

The last thing I received in my ILoveThisBox is definitely my favourite. It is the Revlon Luxurious Color Eyeliner in Very Violet. I have been into coloured eyeliner lately and I needed a purple to add to my collection. I love this!

I was absolutely amazed with January's ILoveThisBox. They had a great variety of products (hair, skincare, makeup, nails and tools). I can't wait to give these all a try!

Be sure to check out my Blog Sale. All items must go. There are expensive products at cheap prices!

ILoveThisBox.com.au December Box Review

So I had some time now to try out all of the products in the December Box. My first post on this box was the opening where I introduced the products and shared my initial thoughts. Well now I can share with you my final opinions.

Before I go on about the products, I want to let you know what I think about the box itself. ILoveThisBox.com.au has amazing customer service. They get back to you quite quickly and are always wanting to help you out. This is a big tick for me! The packaging was very good. The outer box was attractive and functional.
The inner box was nice and simple and quite sturdy.
I found that the delivery of the box was fantastic. The company sent me a tracking code and within a couple days, I received the box! Also the card was very warming and informative. The greeting was very nice and included details such as LovePoints.
The information of the products was short but detailed which is another plus!
I think the bonus Christmas sticker was amazing and innovative.
In regards to the Christmas theme, I like how the products were not Christmassy but the packaging was. There was a cute ornament and other festive details.

Now moving onto the products...I think that ILoveThisBox.com.au chose quite good products to showcase in this box. There was only one product that I disliked due to personal choice. The first item was the Special Xmas Gift from Magnolia which was the Snow Flake Pendant with the discount voucher. I really like the pendant because it is something you can keep forever and use. Even though it isn't snowing in Australia, I find it still very festive. I liked the box it came in too. The discount voucher is quite handy. I am not in the market for jewellery but I did find a pair of earrings that came up to $1 plus $8 in shipping using my voucher!
The next product is the Adorn Face and Body Bronzer. This sample size looks really small but you get a lot of use out of it. This bronzer is very useful for many purposes. As a face bronzer, it is very nice with a tiny bit of shimmer. You can blend Adorn Face and Body Bronzer out nicely. As a body bronzer, you just mix it with some body lotion and apply it onto the body. This creates a great, streak-free and even tan. I really like how it is toxic free, contains natural ingredients, vegan and cruelty free accredited.
I received the Gatineau Intense Nourishing Body Lotion from the Gatineau Personalised Skin Care Samples. I really enjoyed this although I only got to use it once on my legs (with a tiny bit to spare)! I have to say that the floral scent is amazing and lingered on my skin for a while. The body lotion was very hydrating.
The next product is the Simply Organic Lip Balm. Now I have used it but I dislike the scent as it is Lemon and Honey. I hate lemon and honey together in general. Simply Organic is a new brand to me and I like. Some of the packaging is even organic or recycled. The lip balm is USDA organic. Although the scent is off putting, it does sooth the lips.
I also got the Simply Organic Everyday Wash and Rinse. These two products contain Olive Leaf Extract from the Tree of Life. It is a hair treatment for daily use. I love these two soooooooooooooo much. My hair felt so healthy and smooth and soft. These two are great sizes. I used the Rinse a couple times and is still using the Wash.
The last product is two samples of Wonderstruck. I love how they included two; for different places or purposes. The size is a normal perfume sample size. The scent is so lovely.
That was all my thoughts on the December Box. I hope you enjoy!

Favourite Posts of 2011!

Hi everyone,
I hope you had a fantastic Christmas! Sorry, I haven't been posting lately due to this festive and busy season. Happy New Year too! I saw on Burt's Bees Twitter a picture and it was saying if you go into a room, away from everyone before midnight, go back to them after midnight and say, "I haven't seen you since last year!" I am totally trying this.

Just a reminder that the Herbal Essence Giveaway closes tomorrow! Enter before time runs out!

Anyway this post is about your favourite posts on Beauty Fix 2011. I started this blog six months ago and it has really blossomed. Thanks to all you readers for making it be a success.

So your top five favourite posts of 2011 are:
1. My View On: Rolling Makeup Cases from Dance Moms
At this time, I was in the middle of watching Dance Moms. This post is on my thoughts of these Rolling Makeup Cases on this show. There were two different types; one with a table and lights and a one without a table and lights. I actually purchased the second type of case and I love it. I store all my general makeup in there.
As I have been into dancing for a long time, I know what makeup you need. This post was an insight to a dancer's makeup kit. It is basically what I take for dancing. That was basically it!

I thoroughly enjoyed this product and by the sounds of it you readers did too! I wanted to review Le Tan's Coconut Oil as it was getting closer and closer to Summer and it was the coverage I needed to stay sun smart. I really like this product!
Red  Meow is a sampler box service that provides a monthly beauty subscription. I heard about several of these boxes and found that this service had the best brands and I wanted to share that with you. But, they haven't launched it yet. Their website isn't even up. So I found other great boxes such as ilovethisbox.com.au and have moved on.
This post was a welcome to introduce the readers to a new series of blog posts. I had several cleansers that I never tried and it was time to use them and also review them. My favourite was the Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Acne Facial Wash (I think that is what it is called?!).
So that is it! If I don't post before New Years, Happy 2012!

ILoveThisBox.com.au December Opening (Review of Box)

Take a peek at the contents of this month's ILoveThisBox.com.au!

Hi everyone,
So this morning I received this box full of goodness for the first time. I was so excited. This gave me a chance to try out this beauty sampler box and see if I like it. When I got it, it looked like this! The box is an eParcel and Express. This meant I could track the parcel and it came quite quickly. This box was very functional and protected the products.
When you lifted it up, the box looked like the picture below. This was another box inside.
This is what the actual box looks like. It is very sturdy and useful with a cute colour scheme. You can use the box for heaps of different things.
Once you open the lid of the box, two things appear. They look very attractive and appealing!
The first thing is a card. On the front, which is shown below, is like a letter from the team introducing this month's box and enticing you to open it. I love the Christmas images featured on it.
On the back of this card is a product information sheet.
The information sheet contains the name, a bit about and the full size price of every product that you get in the box. I think this is absolutely fabulous as you know what you are getting and so on.
The next thing that I got was a sticker with Santa and the word 'Merry Christmas' on it.
On the card, it actually said that they included this in so you can stick it on top of the box, like below. This creates a box to put a Christmas present in. How innovative. I think this idea is so amazing!
Underneath those two things is tissue paper secured with a cute sticker. The tissue paper is normally purple but because it is Christmas, the paper is green.
When you open this, the box looks like the picture below. You can see all the products and red paper for Christmas. This is where I get all excited. ILoveThisBox.com.au had a great variety of different products this month.
The first thing was a special Christmas gift - a Magnolia Snow Flake Pendant. It is sterling silver. There was also a discount voucher for Magnolia in the box too.
This is the close up of the pendant.
The next product is the Adorn Face and Body Bronzer.
Another product I got was the Gatineau Intense Nourishing Body Lotion.
This is the Simply Organic Lip Balm. There was a bit of a mistake here as the card said it was the Olive by Langlois Flavoured Lip Balm.
The next product is Simply Organic Everyday Wash and Rinse. I can't wait to try this.
The last thing I got was two samples of Taylor Swift's Wonderstruck.
Below is what the packaging of the box looked like. Super cute!
I am really satisfied with this box. The samples were a good size, I get to try out new brands and products and it was super convenient and affordable. I am so eager to try these products. A review will be up soon! Go check out ILoveThisBox.com.au. It is great!
