Cosmecology Tonic Skin Lotion

Hi everyone,
Cosmeocology Paris is a very nice skincare brand which I really enjoy. The product I wanted to review today is the Cosmecology Tonic Skin Lotion. This product is a toner that can be used on the skin at
after cleansing. This product is very large and has nice, clean and simple. I really enjoy the packaging as it is sleek and you get bang for your buck. The toner has a very nice clean and floral scent. It is do good! The consistency of the product is very thin and is liquid. The product can also be used to refresh the skin throughout the day which I thoroughly enjoyed. This product is ideal for balancing the skin after removing makeup of cleansing the skin. It sure did do this. My skin felt balanced and wasn't dry or oily. The toner also contains chamomile extract. This helps to refresh the skin and is soothing and calming. My skin felt really smooth and clean afterwards which I loved. The product can be used by applying to the face and neck with cotton wool. The results of this product were very enjoyable. My skin felt revitalised and clean, as well as refreshed. It also left my skin feeling smooth and soft. It is suitable for all types of skin.
This product retails for $24.00

Battle of the Cleansers: Biore Combo Skin Balancing Cleanser vs. Biore 4-in-1 Revitalising Cleanser

Hi everyone,
Today we have a showdown of the Biore cleansers! Who will win? Biore's Combination Skin Balancing Cleanser or Biore's 4-in-1 Revitalising Cleanser. Let the battle begin!
Today we have two competitors battling it out to win the ultimate title here at the showground of Beauty Fix blog. First competitor in the arena is Biore Combination Skin Balancing Cleanser.
This cleanser is formulated with Skin Purifying Technology which  deep cleans oily t-zones while cleansing drier areas of the skin, giving the face a balanced skin tone.
The next competitor versing this lovely product is the Biore 4-in-1 Revitalising Cleanser. This cleanser purifies, tones, stimulates and detoxifies skin without leaving the skin feeling tight.
The first category today that the competitors will be competing in today is the showdown of packaging. Both products have similar packaging and are both not travel-friendly (I know with this type of packaging, I tend to get nervous that it will leak in my suitcase). The Combination Skin Cleanser features a very handy pump and looks very sleek and simple. The Revitalising Cleanser also features a convenient pump but has a more of an irregular shaped bottle which is nice. Other than that, both products are the same - they have a nice look to them which draws your attention to the products. I am thoroughly enjoying the new look Biore has!
So the results of this round...A TIE!

The second round for this battle today is consistency. I am looking for a really nice consistency that I know will work nicely with my skin. The Combination Skin Cleanser has a very, very nice thick, gel-like consistency that feels very gentle yet thorough. To go along with this is the product's lovely, fresh scent. The Revitalising Cleanser also has a great consistency. In contrast to the first product, this cleanser is a lightweight foam that also has Biore's great scent. The battle of this category is really up to personal preference.
So the winner of this round is...Combination Skin Cleanser!

The battle is now heating up and the next category today is ingredients. Both products contain great ingredients that benefit the skin. The Combination Skin Cleanser is equipped with this Skin Purifying Technology. This ingredient removes all impurities from the skin but doesn't take away the skin's moisture, which is necessary in evening your skin tone. The Revitalising Skin Cleanser contains very natural ingredients. There is sugarbeet extract in it to condition the skin and help retain its moisture and there is also green tea and eucalyptus which provides an ultra cooling sensation. This round is a tough one but I will probably have to go with all naturale!
This winner is...Revitalising Cleanser!

The fourth round in this battle is all about how it works. The Combination Skin Cleanser builds up into a really nice lather. The cleanser is so effective in which it is so thorough yet so gentle. It left my skin feeling really balanced out - it felt not oily yet not dry! My skin felt so smooth and soft, as well as clean, afterwards. The Revitalising Skin Cleanser also really lathered up nicely with the foamy consistency. It felt like it was really doing its job but was not harsh on my skin at all. The product left my skin feeling so soft and smooth after using it and also it felt refreshed and clean. Both of these products really did their job and promote healthy skin.
The results of this round is...A TIE!

The battle is now coming to an end. And to conclude this battle, I have one more round...Price! Both cleansers are so affordable and of good value. The Combination Skin Cleanser is $10.99 for 200ml and the Revitalising Cleanser is $12.99 for 198ml. Also they both last for a quite a while so it is really good value. You can purchase both of these from Priceline, Target, Big W, Coles, Woolworths and Pharmacies.
So the winner of the final round is...Combination Skin Cleanser.

Before I announce the winner of the battle, I want to say that both of these cleansers are amazing. I would choose both to be winners if I could! It basically comes down to your personal preference. So if I was you, I would give both of these great cleansers a try.

AND THE WINNER IS...BIORE COMBINATION SKIN BALANCING CLEANSER!

Favourite Product! Cosmecology's Clean Skin Milk

Hi all,
I have another fantastic product to review today! It is the Cosmecology Clean Skin Milk. This cleansing milk removes make-up but also gently cleanses the skin. All you have to do is apply with fingertips or cotton wool. I love how it is so easy to use and apply because a lot of people nowadays are always on-the-go. It is such a nice and quick way to freshen up! Something that really stands out to me is the scent. I just think it smells so so nice! It smells really refreshing. I love it! The packaging is quite cute and simple. You get a lot of product in this bottle! The consistency of this product is really unique. The milk is white and pure but has a nice, creamy and lightweight texture. I really really like this consistency. This leaves a pleasant feeling of comfort on the skin. Another plus about this product is that anyone can use it - it is suitable for all skin types! The product has Rose Extract. Due to its natural sugar compounds, the Rose Extract is softening and moisturizing. There is Also Shea Butter in the product which has a softening, nourishing and soothing effect. The Clean Skin Milk also has Apricot Stones Oil which has emollient properties. My skin felt really clean afterwards. A lot of dirt and impurities, as well as make-up was effectively removed. My skin also felt moisturized, smooth and soft too. I really like this product!

Johnson's Daily Essentials Refreshing Gel Wash

Hi beauties,
I wanted to review this lovely product today. It is the Johnson's Daily Essentials Refreshing Gel Wash. This cleanser is for normal and combination skin. This gel wash gently lifts away impurities whilst caring for your skin. The packaging of this product is nice and simple. I really like that you can see the gel wash through its packaging. The consistency of the facial wash is very gel-like. It is also quite thick but very lightweight. To me, the scent of Refreshing Gel Wash is very much like all the other products from Johnson's. The scent is very nice and calming. From the smell, I can tell that the product is going to be gentle on my skin. The wash contains skin loving minerals. These are known to restore freshness. It also has vitamin C derivative in it which is known for its antioxidant purposes. This sounds fantastic! Refreshing Gel Wash was really nice to apply and use. The product worked up into a great lather and I just loved it. Afterwards, my skin felt so refreshed and clean. It was also very smooth and soft. The results were superb! This is a great everyday cleanser because it is so great at removing dirt and impurities and leaving the face smooth and soft. I recommend to anyone and everyone!

Lush 9 to 5 Cleanser

Hi beauties,
Today I have another fantastic review about a product from Lush. This product is Lush's 9 to 5 Cleanser. This is a product designed for the busy bee and I think it is superb! It is a cleanser that you use without water and wipe off with a cotton pad. I find this so convenient. The packaging is nice and simple and matches with the rest of the Lush skincare line. The dispenser is great and easy to use. Also, the consistency is really thin. This gentle cleanser is made with almond oil, dove orchids and everlasting flower absolute. These ingredients work together really well. I really enjoyed this product. It was so easy to apply and is really quick to use too. Afterwards, my skin felt really clean, healthy, smooth and soft. What is so unique about this product is that it really hydrates the skin. Although my skin felt clean, it also was moisturised. I think that this feature is absolutely great! I really love it as it removes daily dirt and grime without any problem. This product retails for $7.95 for 95g and $15.95 for 40g. You can purchase this product from Lush or online at www.lush.com.au.

Favourite Posts of 2011!

Hi everyone,
I hope you had a fantastic Christmas! Sorry, I haven't been posting lately due to this festive and busy season. Happy New Year too! I saw on Burt's Bees Twitter a picture and it was saying if you go into a room, away from everyone before midnight, go back to them after midnight and say, "I haven't seen you since last year!" I am totally trying this.

Just a reminder that the Herbal Essence Giveaway closes tomorrow! Enter before time runs out!

Anyway this post is about your favourite posts on Beauty Fix 2011. I started this blog six months ago and it has really blossomed. Thanks to all you readers for making it be a success.

So your top five favourite posts of 2011 are:
1. My View On: Rolling Makeup Cases from Dance Moms
At this time, I was in the middle of watching Dance Moms. This post is on my thoughts of these Rolling Makeup Cases on this show. There were two different types; one with a table and lights and a one without a table and lights. I actually purchased the second type of case and I love it. I store all my general makeup in there.
As I have been into dancing for a long time, I know what makeup you need. This post was an insight to a dancer's makeup kit. It is basically what I take for dancing. That was basically it!

I thoroughly enjoyed this product and by the sounds of it you readers did too! I wanted to review Le Tan's Coconut Oil as it was getting closer and closer to Summer and it was the coverage I needed to stay sun smart. I really like this product!
Red  Meow is a sampler box service that provides a monthly beauty subscription. I heard about several of these boxes and found that this service had the best brands and I wanted to share that with you. But, they haven't launched it yet. Their website isn't even up. So I found other great boxes such as ilovethisbox.com.au and have moved on.
This post was a welcome to introduce the readers to a new series of blog posts. I had several cleansers that I never tried and it was time to use them and also review them. My favourite was the Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Acne Facial Wash (I think that is what it is called?!).
So that is it! If I don't post before New Years, Happy 2012!

Olay Review: Gentle Foaming Face Wash

Take a look at my opinion of this product before you go out to the shops and buy it!

This is the last Olay review for now. I was lucky enough to receive this product from Olay and I think it is fabulous. Two of the great features are that it is 100% fragrance free and dye free. How good is that! So it has no scent to it at all. The purpose of this face wash is to 'gently remove dirt, oil and make-up.' It is recommended for normal/sensitive skin. Olay's Gentle Foaming Face Wash maintains the moisture in your skin as it is enriched with aloe. The product foams a bit and is really gentle on your skin. The use of it results in clean, smooth and soft skin that has not been irritated at all. I have normal skin that is a bit on the oily side but I think this is great to use as one of my everyday cleansers because it doesn't react with my skin and helps to achieve best results. This product by Olay is really easy to use and apply and is not over drying or overpowering. I really love it! Olay Gentle Foaming Face Wash with aloe retails for $8.99.
It is so affordable for what you get from it. Overall thoughts is that it is ideal for sensitive skin, cheap and effective.

Facial Wash Challenge: Day 5 - Clean & Clear In Shower Facial

Want to purchase a facial wash but you don't want to waste your money as it isn't effective for your skin? Read the Facial Wash Challenges for reviews on cleansers!

I know you read the title and thought 'this is not a facial cleanser'. I really wanted to review this product for the last day. Clean & Clear In Shower Facial "works with the steam of your shower". It basically is a facial. You can really feel it working on your skin. The great thing about it is that the product applies on as a facial but scrubs off as an exfoliator and scrub. The facial is really quick - I think you have to keep it one for only on minute! It made my skin feel smooth but I didn't feel it removed oil. The product is oil free and doesn't clog pores which is fantastic.

Well the Facial Wash Challenge is over! Did you like it?

Facial Wash Challenge: Day 4 - Neutrogena Deep Clean Foaming Cleanser

Want to purchase a facial wash but you don't want to waste your money as it isn't effective for your skin? Read the Facial Wash Challenges for reviews on cleansers!

Coming to the end of the Challenge now (awww). The second last review is on the Deep Clean Foaming Cleanser which "controls oil" and is "thorough cleansing with long-lasting oil control for the deepest feeling clean".  First of all, is lathers up really nicely. The product really foams up. It left my skin feeling really clean and smooth. The cleanser smells fruity and floral at first and then creamy and like baby powder afterwards. There is no negatives to this product and I really like it.

Facial Wash Challenge: Day 3 - Neutrogena Deep Clean Cream Cleanser

Want to purchase a facial wash but you don't want to waste your money as it isn't effective for your skin? Read the Facial Wash Challenges for reviews on cleansers!

Wow, over half way through the Facial Wash Challenge. It has definitely gone quick! Day 3 as you can tell is on the Neutrogena Deep Clean Cream Cleanser. The product is oil free, won't clog pores and is dermatologist tested. It "cleans so deeply and thoroughly that it improves the look and feel of your skin". I have to say it does do that; my skin feels smooth and soft. However, my skin didn't feel clean, which is a con. It has a really good consistency and I love that! The scent is nice too. The product smells like the other Deep Clean product; Deep Clean Facial Cleanser. I think all the product reviewed so far have been pretty good.

Day 4...? Hint: Foaming Cleanser

Facial Wash Challenge: Day 2 - Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser

Want to purchase a facial wash but you don't want to waste your money as it isn't effective for your skin? Read the Facial Wash Challenges for reviews on cleansers!

For Day 2 of the Facial Wash Challenge I trialled Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser. For normal to oily skin, it is super easy to use with a pump which I love, love, love! The product is "a penetrating and thorough cleanser that improves your complexion". This cleanser has a great scent. It smells lovely, almost like baby powder but not quite. The colour of the product is a transparent orange and it applies on really well. The product removes dirt, oil and makeup, I had powder on and it removed it. The cleanser left my skin feeling smooth but not as clean as the cleanser in Day One.

Day 3...? Hint: Another Deep Clean product

Facial Wash Challenge: Day 1 - Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash

As day one of the Facial Wash Challenge, I tried the new Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash. It is a Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser with Microclear Technology and "helps clear breakouts". I decided to use this before my Clinique cleanser to remove dirt, makeup and oil and then the second time I cleanse I can really get down into my skin. I love that the bottle has a pump as it is super convenient and I also love the fact that the cleanser is pink. How cute! The scent is so nice. It smells really fruity and lovely. I had foundation on when I used this product and it removed it. The wash is not over drying and it left my skin feeling smooth and soft.

Day one of the facial challenge went off with a great start. Day 2...? Hint: Another Neutrogena product
