DIY: Revive Your Feet

I hate the feeling of dirty, sore feet from physical activity. Doesn't everyone?! Well, here is another DIY post. This is on how to revive your feet.

1. First, grab a large bowl of warm/hot water (whatever suits you best). Add a generous amount of Foot Soak to the water. Let both your feet soak in the bowl for 10-15 mins. This softens the feet and cleans them too.
2. Grab a Foot Scrubber (preferably with pumice). Scrub your feet focusing on the heels. This gets rid of any left over dirt and dead skin, leaving your skin soft and smooth. Dry your feet with a towel.

3. Use a foot cream to apply all over your feet. This hydrates, moisturises and softens the feet.

4. Finally, put on socks or spa slippers to lock in moisture and it makes the feet not as sore.

So that is how I revive my feet. How do you revive yours?

Kick The Bucket! New Nail Colours from Australis

Hey,
So this is a very exciting post. Last week I received a package at my door step. Little did I know that it was Australis' eight new nail colours.

These eight new shades will be joining the eighteen existing shades in the Australis Nail Colour range. They are all fun and bright and there is a variety of colours for different seasons. The new shades will complete a fresh and trendy nail colour range. I think the packaging is very simple, functional and effective. All of the eight have intense colour, high shine and a streak-free formula. They all are very easy to use and apply. Australis Nail Colours are very affordable and good value for money! The nail polish are creamy, bright and chip resistant. What is not to love about them?!

ILoveThisBox.com.au January Box Review

Hey beauties,
So I have got to try pretty much everything in the January Box and I was pretty impressed!

As always, the delivery and customer service was awesome. Also the box is really sturdy and functional as usual!
The inner box is strong and attractive. I think it is a really great size box too!
I think the Australia Day theme was so very great! It was innovative and cute and also is symbolises ILoveThisBox's pride to be Australian.
Again, I felt the card was very welcoming and informative as it included details such as LovePoints which reminds me to complete the surveys etc. I really love the Aussie heart on the card. It is so so so cute!
The back of the card is so detailed yet brief. I knew all about the products without me reading on and on and on!

I loved the sticker as the heart is so cute. Last month's box had the normal sticker for Christmas. So I thought that this was great. I also loved the tissue paper and packaging.
The Tip of the Month was a great new addition. I think they are useful and handy to have. This tip was very informative.

The angled eye-shadow brush was nice. I didn't get to use it a lot but when I did I found it easy to use and was quite soft. I liked it very much.

Linden Leaves Herbalist Rosemary and Cypress Shampoo is probably the product I used the most. It had a really thick consistency which I found was very nice and unique. I loved the herbal smell and it definitely lathered up nicely. This makes a perfect travel size shampoo. It left my hair feeling so healthy, soft and smooth.
This lip balm I didn't much but it was quite good. The Strawberry scent was very yummy and lovely. Olive by Langlois lip balm was moisturising and definitely did the job of hydrating the lips. The packaging was simple and compact. I really like how the lip balm is made from olives.
The next product in the box was the Revlon Nail Polish. I found that I couldn't really wear the shade Emerald City as it didn't go with events, outfits etc. I did try it on and the shade was quite nice. The polish was very easy to use and apply. The formula instantly evens out nail surface and brush marks and is chip resistant.

The Revlon Eyeliner was the final product and I loved it. The colour Very Violet was great. The product was so nice to apply as I felt it glided on. The consistency was really creamy which I really loved. I also liked the smudger too!

So that were all my thoughts on the January Box. I hope you enjoy!

DIY: Manicure

Why not give yourself a manicure?! Not only is it convenient but also inexpensive.

Hey everyone,
I know beauty treatments can get costly for some people. So that is why I ought to do a DIY Mini Series! The first part to this series is giving yourself a manicure. I love doing this because I can do it whenever I want to from the comfort of my home. So here is my step-by-step routine!

1. Remove nail polish with polish remover. It is still good to use the remover even if your don't have nail polish on as it makes your nail polish stay on longer.

2. First grab a bowl of warm to hot water (whatever suits you best). Put your fingertips in so that all your nails are in the water. Let them soak for ten to fifteen minutes. This enables your nails to be soft and more easy to work with.
3. Rub a tiny bit of hand cream onto your hands. You don't want too much that your hands become to slippery to do the rest of the manicure straight after.
4. File your nails to suit you so that they are a nice shape!
5. Next, buff, smooth and shine your nails to minimise ridges and create a good surface to paint.

6. Use a cuticle oil or cream to apply on each and every cuticle. This nourishes the cuticles and is a great preparation for the next step. Push your cuticles with a cuticle pusher. Be careful not to hurt your cuticles while doing this.
7. Finally paint your nails. Remember to apply a base and top coat to make it long lasting and have a nice shine.

So that is how I give myself and others a manicure! Let me know if you tried this in the comments below! Enjoy!
