Favourite Posts of 2011!

Hi everyone,
I hope you had a fantastic Christmas! Sorry, I haven't been posting lately due to this festive and busy season. Happy New Year too! I saw on Burt's Bees Twitter a picture and it was saying if you go into a room, away from everyone before midnight, go back to them after midnight and say, "I haven't seen you since last year!" I am totally trying this.

Just a reminder that the Herbal Essence Giveaway closes tomorrow! Enter before time runs out!

Anyway this post is about your favourite posts on Beauty Fix 2011. I started this blog six months ago and it has really blossomed. Thanks to all you readers for making it be a success.

So your top five favourite posts of 2011 are:
1. My View On: Rolling Makeup Cases from Dance Moms
At this time, I was in the middle of watching Dance Moms. This post is on my thoughts of these Rolling Makeup Cases on this show. There were two different types; one with a table and lights and a one without a table and lights. I actually purchased the second type of case and I love it. I store all my general makeup in there.
As I have been into dancing for a long time, I know what makeup you need. This post was an insight to a dancer's makeup kit. It is basically what I take for dancing. That was basically it!

I thoroughly enjoyed this product and by the sounds of it you readers did too! I wanted to review Le Tan's Coconut Oil as it was getting closer and closer to Summer and it was the coverage I needed to stay sun smart. I really like this product!
Red  Meow is a sampler box service that provides a monthly beauty subscription. I heard about several of these boxes and found that this service had the best brands and I wanted to share that with you. But, they haven't launched it yet. Their website isn't even up. So I found other great boxes such as ilovethisbox.com.au and have moved on.
This post was a welcome to introduce the readers to a new series of blog posts. I had several cleansers that I never tried and it was time to use them and also review them. My favourite was the Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Acne Facial Wash (I think that is what it is called?!).
So that is it! If I don't post before New Years, Happy 2012!

It is time for you with Soap & Glory's YouCube

Check out a great Christmas Gift Set from the one and only Soap & Glory!

Hey,
So I wanted to review this fabulous set as it is getting so very close to Christmas! I absolutely love Soap & Glory. Actually when I went to Hawaii, a couple of months ago, Sephora had Soap & Glory online. So I went there with a shopping list for a couple of products from this company. Long story short, Ashleigh ended up with no Soap & Glory because they only sold it online. But of course, now they sell it in store. Finally I got my hands on some of Soap & Glory's products. This gift set is called YouCube like YouTube. If you know any beauty gurus on YouTube, you should give them this because that would be so cute. YouCube contains five products; all travel size. These are Clean on Me, The Righteous Butter, Flake Away, Hand Food and a fluffy super sudsy puff (according to Soap & Glory)! The box is awesome. The lid looks like silver sequins and the box is pink with words such as soap, clean, wash, glory etc. This label is actually a sticker so you can peel it off and use the box for different reasons. How innovative?! The products have cute, vintage packaging, are of good quality and are great travel sizes. Oh, and they all smell great. Hand Food is a hand cream which is really hydrating and moisturising. It is perfect to slip into your handbag. Clean on Me is a shower gel creme and is creamy and luxurious. The Righteous Butter is a body moisturiser and is thin but very hydrating, leaving my skin smooth and soft. Flake Away is a body polish and is exfoliating which leaves you skin with a nice shine. The loofah is so big and full which I love. It is fantastic for travel. Everything has great detail and smart but cute names. I really really like this. Soap & Glory YouCube is available from Kit Cosmetics!

Lush Christmas Series: Yum....Smell that Candy Mountain

Read about the sweet Candy Mountain bubble bar from Lush...

So, the other day I used Candy Mountain. It is the best bubble bar. The scent was soooooooooo nice. I, the bubble bar and the water all smelt like sweet candy. I couldn't resist hopping in. There was heaps of bubbles and the water was pink. I got to bite my teeth into a good book while laying in a mountain full of candy bubbles. This product from Lush is perfect. I love it! This would definitely be re-purchase.

Watch the video below of Candy Mountain that I filmed and put together!

Lush Christmas Series: I love Cinders!

Wow, Cinders is a fabulous bath ballistic. Take a look at how it worked!

Hi, so not long ago, I used Cinders in my bath. It was so good. This seasonal bath ballistic is so suitable for Summer (even though it does not feel like it)! I didn't realise that there were pop rocks throughout the whole thing which was amazing. You can actually hear the pop rocks - it feels like a crackling fire. The scent of Cinders is fruity and a tad spicy which you can smell in the water. The water was a bright yellow and orange. I felt like the scent lingered on my skin. It was a perfect relaxation opportunity.

Look at the video below that I created of Cinders...

ILoveThisBox.com.au December Opening (Review of Box)

Take a peek at the contents of this month's ILoveThisBox.com.au!

Hi everyone,
So this morning I received this box full of goodness for the first time. I was so excited. This gave me a chance to try out this beauty sampler box and see if I like it. When I got it, it looked like this! The box is an eParcel and Express. This meant I could track the parcel and it came quite quickly. This box was very functional and protected the products.
When you lifted it up, the box looked like the picture below. This was another box inside.
This is what the actual box looks like. It is very sturdy and useful with a cute colour scheme. You can use the box for heaps of different things.
Once you open the lid of the box, two things appear. They look very attractive and appealing!
The first thing is a card. On the front, which is shown below, is like a letter from the team introducing this month's box and enticing you to open it. I love the Christmas images featured on it.
On the back of this card is a product information sheet.
The information sheet contains the name, a bit about and the full size price of every product that you get in the box. I think this is absolutely fabulous as you know what you are getting and so on.
The next thing that I got was a sticker with Santa and the word 'Merry Christmas' on it.
On the card, it actually said that they included this in so you can stick it on top of the box, like below. This creates a box to put a Christmas present in. How innovative. I think this idea is so amazing!
Underneath those two things is tissue paper secured with a cute sticker. The tissue paper is normally purple but because it is Christmas, the paper is green.
When you open this, the box looks like the picture below. You can see all the products and red paper for Christmas. This is where I get all excited. ILoveThisBox.com.au had a great variety of different products this month.
The first thing was a special Christmas gift - a Magnolia Snow Flake Pendant. It is sterling silver. There was also a discount voucher for Magnolia in the box too.
This is the close up of the pendant.
The next product is the Adorn Face and Body Bronzer.
Another product I got was the Gatineau Intense Nourishing Body Lotion.
This is the Simply Organic Lip Balm. There was a bit of a mistake here as the card said it was the Olive by Langlois Flavoured Lip Balm.
The next product is Simply Organic Everyday Wash and Rinse. I can't wait to try this.
The last thing I got was two samples of Taylor Swift's Wonderstruck.
Below is what the packaging of the box looked like. Super cute!
I am really satisfied with this box. The samples were a good size, I get to try out new brands and products and it was super convenient and affordable. I am so eager to try these products. A review will be up soon! Go check out ILoveThisBox.com.au. It is great!

New Products from Innoxa! Review

Hi guys,
This holiday season surely is busy. I have several products to share with you today from Innoxa! How exciting! I won't keep you waiting any longer.

The first new product is the Tinted Moisturiser SPF 15. The formula is lightweight with a hint of colour and SPF 15 which protects the skin against environmental damage. The new packaging is so modern as it is a grey and silver colour scheme. Tinted Moisturiser SPF 15 is a great size; 30ml. There are two shades to this product. They are Nude Beige and Honey Glow. Nude Beige is for fairer skin like mine whereas Honey Glow is suitable for tan skin. Innoxa's new product has a great consistency and is quite moisturising for the skin as it contains Vitamin E. Tinted Moisturiser SPF 15 is dermatologically tested and has good coverage. It is the perfect alternative to foundation for this season.
RRP $19.95

Another new product to Innoxa is the Eyebrow Tints. The applicator has a soft tip which is great for precise application. The formula is water based and glides onto the skin and therefore makes it easy to use. There are also two shades; Light Brown and Dark Brown. The more you apply on, the more darker the colour is. Eyebrow Tints don't smudge and last a long time. Again the packaging is very modern and sleek with a grey colour. I have to say that the Dark Brown is very dark and more like black. This product creates a natural look. It is paraben free, ophthalmologically tested and suitable for sensitive skin.
RRP $19.95

The last new product is the Eye Shadow Compacts. The formula is matte that has been developed with pore-visible technology and also contains anti-ageing properties. These compacts are long lasting and crease free. Each of the three different compacts contain four different shades to match each other. These three compacts contain a variety of colours for a subtle or dramatic look. These compacts are Naturally Nude, Blushing Blossom and Gorgeous Grey. Naturally Nude contains brown shades, Blushing Blossom contains pink and purple shades and Gorgeous Grey contains grey shades. The packaging is contemporary like the others. The palettes are fragrance free, easy to apply, convenient and fabulous!
RRP $14.95

My View On: Beauty Sampler Boxes

Read about what I have to say about beauty sampler boxes!

Hey beauties!
So as you know I have done several posts on these beauty sampler boxes in Australia. A beauty sampler box is where you pay a certain amount of money ($10-$15) a month to get a box delivered to your door full of different hand-picked sample size products! I think these are very convenient because a lot of people in the modern society are so busy and can't go out to purchase products and try them out. With this process, it is very easy to try new products and purchase the full size. Most of these companies allow you to buy the full size products that were in the box.

Australia has recently released several boxes. Actually many! These include Haute Box (coming soon), Red Meow (coming soon), Lust Have It, Bella Box, Ilovethisbox.com.au, GlossyBox and more! These all contain different brands which are great. And they make a great Christmas present!

Each box is packaged nicely and with great care. I really like it. Also it is great because you are not wasting money on buying full size products that you may not even like. So, check out each of these boxes to see what you like.

Take a look at what others have to say about these...

Lush Christmas Series: Amazing Abombinaball

Lush has amazing Christmas products as you all know. Take a look at this review!

Hi Lush fans,
Last night I used Abombinaball after a hard working day. It was sensational! I had a warm bath that wasn't that hot and popped in this festive bath ballistic. The scent smelt just like Lush! It had an orange, vanilla and peppermint fragrance. The colour of the water was amazing. Abombinaball left an aqua colour
with glitter through it. This was super relaxing and refreshing. So, I made this video below to show you what it looked like!

Share the Christmas Spirit! New Blog: Christmas Fix

Hi beauties,
I just want to inform you of a new blog I have created. It is called Christmas Fix! I will still be posting regularly on Beauty Fix. It is just that I wanted to share my ideas on Christmas but I thought that was irrelevant to post things like that on Beauty Fix. So you should go check it out!

Two luxurious gifts that won't break the bank!

Read about the two of the Innoxa holiday gifts sets that are so affordable.

Hi everyone,
I have been extremely busy lately. In fact, way more busy than I want to be. Anyway, I wanted to review two Christmas gifts that I really like. These two sets are the Essentially Innoxa Enrich Mini Delights and the Essentially Innoxa Pamper and Polish.

Enrich Mini Delights
RRP $9.95
This gift pack contains an Enrich Hand Cream, Enrich Shower Creme and a Bath and Body Sponge. The two products are mini which is great for travel! The packaging of the gift is actually very stylish and cute. All three items are very good in quality and quite useful. The Enrich Minis have a lovely, creamy vanilla scent. The hand cream and shower creme really nurtures and nourishes the skin. The gift set has a white and cream colour scheme to it which makes it perfect for anyone. Enrich Mini Delights is so cheap for what you get. I would get it for my mum, a teacher, Aunty etc. It is even great to wrap up and put under the tree for yourself!

Pamper and Polish
RRP $19.95
This gift pack contains an Exhilarate Hand Cream, Nail Colour in Pomegranate and a 4 Piece Mini Manicure Kit. This hand smells nice and fresh and is the same size as the hand cream in the Enrich Mini Delights; 50ml. The packaging of the gift is the same as the other gift set which is useful and elegant. The hand cream is exactly like the other one but has a different scent. I love the packaging of the nail polish because it is quite different to all the other polishes, not to mention sleek and stylish. The colour Pomegranate is such a great shade because it is great for summer and Christmas. Pamper and Polish's manicure set is compact with a silver crocodile skin exterior design. It contains scissors, nail clippers, nail file and tweezers. I really like this set!

Both gift sets are really cute and useful. They are great value for the price you are paying. Enrich Mini Delights and Pamper and Polish suit a wide variety of consumers. So I'm am sure anyone who buys or receives one of these will fall in love with it!

Happy Holidays!

November Favourite: Lush Have a Sweet Christmas

Read about my favourite for the month of November!

Hi beauties,
Sorry that I haven't been able to post in several days. It was that time again to post another favourites post (oh, how time flies!) and I thought I would shake it up a little bit. So this post is about one favourite for the month of November. As you can tell in the title, it is Lush's Have a Sweet Christmas.

Ok, so I absolutely love this set. I actually don't own one but bought a couple for my friends. First of all, the packaging is super cute. The gift set is wrapped in paper that features gingerbread men and women, wigs, hearts, cupcakes. bows, buttons, dresses and desserts. I think it is a dress up game if you unwrap the paper nicely. Next, the scent lingers even from the box. I put them under my tree and you can smell them throughout the whole room. The scent is so sweet too - you just want to eat the box for dessert. Have a Sweet Christmas contains Angel's Delight Soap in a star shape and Candy Mountain Bubble Bar. I just recently purchased Candy Mountain and let me tell you, it looks and smells great (so does Angel's Delight). They are so affordable and also so convenient. You don't need to wrap an extra present which is super handy for Christmas Eve rushes!

Another Haul! Christmas: Lush, Typo and Priceline

Take a look at what I bought, shopping at Westfields Miranda!

A couple days ago, I went shopping. Westfields Miranda is such a great shopping centre. I picked up several items especially for Christmas. I went with my family and Madeline from It's All Beauty to Me.
First, I went to Lush (no suprise!). My sister and I were intending to get the Magic Wand but they hadn't got them in yet. That was a disappointment. Anyway I ended up purchasing Abombinaball which was $6.95, Candy Mountain which was also $6.95 and Tea Tree Toner Tab which was $1.95. Madeline bought several items including So White. So White smells so good and I am definitely purchasing it next time.

I also went to Priceline. I bought Sweet Little Things Luxury Bath Pillow which was I think $7.99. During December, I will be taking a lot of baths, so this was ideal. I also bought Camille Mae Luxury Soap in Warm Vanille which was on sale for $5.59.

The last thing I bought was from Typo. It is a stocking for $2. The product is quirky and great for many purposes.
